Manchu Manoj shoot attacked by TRS

Hyderabad,Dec 22: The ongoing agitation for separate state for Telangana has taken a nasty turn on Tuesday with suspected Telangana Rashtra Samithi (Trs) activists attacking the film shooting of a Telugu movie in which Manchu Manoj, the son of noted Tollywood hero Mohan Babu, is in the lead role.Ever since Mohan Babu, a former MP of Telugu Desam Party (TDP),began voicing united Andhra Pradesh slogan, those advocating for statehood for Telangana have expressed their deep anger at him.

The Trs functionaries have even appealed to the managements of cinema houses in the Telangana region to boycott the screening of the films in which Mohan Babu and his family members have acted.On Tuesday, some persons believed to be Trs activists, not only obstructed the shooting of a film at Kompalli on the outskirts of Hyderabad city casting Mohan Babu’s son Manoj but also damaged the cameras,vehicles and other furniture at the shooting spot.

The agitators chased Manoj and other stars of the movie from the place forcing Manoj to run for shelter.The Tollywood hero later took refuge in a nearby guest house while other actors immediately left the spot in order to escape the wrath of the agitators.
