Hyderabad,  Dec 23:  Resenting the Government’s decision to appoint a High power committee on the Ninth Pay Revision Commission (PRC), the employees of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat staged protests and dharna in front of the Secretariat gate here on Wednesday.Venting their anger against Government’s decision, the agitating  employees urged the Government to implement the Ninth PRC without any delay.They urged the Government to call the unions for talks on the issue of Ninth PRC. With a view to postpone the implementation of the Ninth PRC the Government is adopting these tactics, the employees bemoaned.

As reported earlier, the PRC chairman, C.S Rao, handed over the report to the Chief Minister, K. Rosaiah, at the Secretariat on December 5.Employees’ unions have been demanding 61 per cent of the fitment for all the 12 lakh personnel. They sought a minimum of Rs 8,120 as basic pay and a maximum of Rs 77,000 based on the service and category.According to reliable sources the Government may not accept the recommendations immediately as it will incur a huge financial burden.
