Hyderabad, Dec 23: The State Government declared a general Holiday on Monday (December 28) on account of the tenth day of Muharram as per lunar almanac.The orders were issued after the Chief Executive Officer of the Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board requested the government to alter the earlier orders declaring Muharram on Dec 27.The Markaz-e-Ruiyat-e-Hilal Committee had earlier declared that the tenth of Muharram, the Martyrdom day of Hazrath Imam Hussain (AS) would fall on Dec 28, following the sighting of the moon.
