Hyderabad, Jan 6:The XIV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court on Wednesday adjourned the framing of charges against the accused in the multi-crore Satyam scandal to January 20.The case relating to hearing of framing of charges was pending with the XIV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate as defence counsels had urged the court to hand over the documents relating to supplementary charge-sheet after its physical verification with original documents.After the verification, the court handed over the documents on Dec 23 to nine accused,
except the prime accused and Satyam founder Ramalinga Raju who is being treated for hepatitis-C ailment at NIMS hospital in Hyderabad.Defence counsel of Ramalinga Raju informed the court that Raju was unable to receive the documents as he is recuperating in the hospital.On hearing the defence counsel’s contention on behalf of Raju, the magistrate asked Raju's counsel to collect the documents on behalf of his client and posted the case to Jan 20. The magistrate also extended the judicial remand of the accused till Jan20.Co-accused Suryanarayana Raju, who was on anticipatory bail was also present in the court.
