AP Kala Vedika to honour Lata

Hyderabad, Jan 8: Chief Minister K Rosaiah would felicitate Bharat Ratna recipient and renowned playback singer Lata Mangeshkar at a programme organised by Andhra Pradesh Kala Vedika to mark the ‘Nightingale of India’s 81st birthday on January 31.The singer, whose melodious voice has enthralled generations of music lovers all over the world, will unveil her latest rendition of an album for world peace on the occasion. A host of dignitaries from the Telugu film industry are expected to be present at the occasion.

Padmabhushan Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Padmabhushan Dr C Narayana Reddy, Padmabhushan Dr K Chiranjeevi, veteran actors Anjali Devi, ‘Urvasi’ Sharada and other luminaries from the film industry besides playback singers like Dr P Susila, Dr S Janaki, Dr K S Chitra, LR Eshwari, K Jamuna Rani, K Rani, Sunitha, Kausalya, Vijayalakshmi, Surekha, Malathi, M M Keeravani, Mani Sarma, Devisri Prasad, Koti, Chakri, Vandematharam Srinivas, Saraswathi Devi, Usha Mangeshkar, Hridayanath Maneshkar will be present on the occasion.
