Khammam to host Natl body-building contests

Khammam, Jan. 22: The 48th Junior National Body Building Competitions led by AP Body Building Physique and Sports Association will commence at Vasavi Garden here on Jan 24. Body builders from across the country will participate in the two-day contests. Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar will inaugurate the competitions and former MP R.Surender Reddy, former MLA Younis Sultan will take part in the inaugural function.On Jan 25, Minister for Employment, Cooperatives and Labour, Mr. Ramreddy Venkat Reddy will distribute the prizes to the winners.

Fist Additional District Judge Anantha Sen Rao, Indian Body Building Physique and Sports Federation president, Mr. Baba Madhok will participate as the guests of honors.AP Body Building and Sports Association pesident Swamy Ramesh Kumar said it is for first time that the national competitions are being held in the district. “Arrangements for competitions have been completed” he said. Mr. Kumar appealed to the locals to cooperate with them to conduct the contests successfully. There are no tickets for the body building competitions, he said.
