Girls outnumber boys in Inter I yr exams

The girl students fared better than the boys in the first year of Intermediate examinations, results of which were released by the Board of Intermediate Education on Saturday.

 Releasing the results at BIE Office, secretary Balaramaiah said 48.56 percent of candidates passed the examinations. This year's pass percentage is two percent above last year's.The pass percentage of boys in the examination is 45 and that of girls 53.

 Of the 8,19,120 candidates who took the examinations, 3,97,805 passed.As many as 1,42,146 students secured A grade, 1,32,882 B grade, 84,027 C grade and 38,750 candidates D grade this year.

 Balaramaiah said this year onwards only grades will be allocated to the students on the website. The candidates can collect marks memos four days later from their colleges, he said.Krishna district registered 63 percent pass and Nalgonda 34 per cent being the lowest.

 The students who want re-valuation, can submit their forms on May 4 and 5.The second year results will be announced on April 30, he stated.The Board made elaborate arrangements to provide results through phone, SMS, e-seva centres and internet.

 Candidates desirous of knowing the marks, have to dial 1255225  without STD code. The results will be hosted on the BIEAP official site, Manabadi results site.
