Madhya Pradesh CM Tests Corona Positive

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has tested positive for Coronavirus. He has appealed to all those who came in contact with him, to get tested for the disease and quarantine themselves. Meanwhile, he says he will be self-quarantining and getting his treatment done according to government guidelines.

“My dear countrymen, I had symptoms of COVID-19 and after the test, my report has come back positive. I appeal to all my colleagues that whoever has come in contact with me, get their corona test done. And my close contacts should go into quarantine,” he said in a tweet in Hindi.

“I will also continue to do everything possible to help control COVID19 in the state during treatment,” he added.

India on witnessed a single-day spike of 48,916 positive cases and 757 deaths, according to the previous day's figures released by the Health Ministry on Saturday. India's cases have jumped from 12 lakh to 13 lakh within just two days. The total COVID-19 positive cases now stand at 13,36,861 including 4,56,071 active cases, 8,49,431 cured/discharged/migrated cases and 31,358 deaths.
