Heavy rains in the state for next 48 hours

Visakhapatnam, Aug 25:

  The off-shore trough extending from North coast of Andhra to Tamil Nadu   persists according to Visakhapatnam Meteorological Department authorities. Under its influence, fairly widespread rainfall activity is likely in Coastal Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next 2-3 days. 

Added to this  the upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh and north Tamil Nadu coasts now lies over north Tamil Nadu and neighbourhood and extends uptomid-tropospheric levels. Under its  influence  moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in Chhattisgarh, north Andhra and parts of Orissa.
