Attack Movie Review, What’s Behind: Audience having lost credibility on brand RGV, here is the multi star flick ‘Attack’ starring Manchu Manoj, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Vadde Naveen in leads attacked on theaters today. Let’s see, what is this ‘Attack’ all about?

Attack Story: Movie begins introducing us to brutal attack and assassination of Guru Raj (Prakash Raj), locally a powerful gangster into construction business. His three sons Kali (Jagapathi Babu), Bhoopi (Vadde Naveen) and  aka Radha Krishna (Manchu Manoj) burning with revenge on killer Sathu (Abhimanyu Singh) and his supporters try to break the jinx. However, Kali is also killed in an attack. Then Radha in love with Valli (Surabhi) undertakes the proceedings and begin the counter attack to clean up Sathu, his love Sakhi (Poonam Kaur) and everyone behind.

Attack Artists And Technicians: From very basic story element, RGV has drawn the inspiration from ‘Godfather.’ From ‘Sarkar’ to ‘Rowdy,’ there have been many films in the same field and ‘Attack’ is nothing different. Just the backdrop shifts to Hyderabad old city. Then, RGV failed absolutely establishing the rivalry between Prakash Raj and opposition with silly reasoning about an unseen piece of land. Except the cold blooded slaughtering of Prakash Raj first and Jagapathi Babu next, there is no proper emotional logging into story. Screenplay is also at its pathetic best. Dialogues penned on Prakash Raj tested the patience. Anwar Ali’s camera work is full of trademark captivating RGV frames. Sudheer Chandra’s editing was sharp yet misses the mark in second half. Ravi Shankar’s BGM was very loud. Production standards from C Kalyan were impoverished.

On to artists, RGV had strong casting in Prakash Raj’s brief appearance runs the whole content. His screen presence is absorbing. Manchu Manoj looked like a bearded dragon with a physically unfit body. He took the reins of entire second half. Jagapathi Babu’s extended cameo is wonderful. Vadde Naveen made a comeback in cunning, confused character. Abhimanyu Singh is so foolish and so is his stupid company in erotically pumping Poonam Kaur. Then Fish Venkat, Manju Bhargavi and Surabhi played their part.

Attack Rating Analysis: Movies on crime or mafia backdrop is a cakewalk for Ram Gopal Varma. He delivered excellent movies before and is capable of repeating in future but for present, his ‘Attack’ is literally a witless attack on human senses. Neither there is story nor a screenplay. Varma’s expertise in dealing with blood has come more elevated than in handling the elementary human emotions. Result is audiences are easily prone to oppose the violence. Nevertheless, RGV’s perverted ideas are strongly projected through Poonam Kaur role which was shot awkwardly.

As and when the actual battle begins in second half with Manoj coming into counterattack, story and screenplay would have ran at lightening pace. Instead, episodes are dragged inhumanly. Pre climax and climax are one of the worst in recent times. All in all, ‘Attack’ is one more soul-less and goal-less film to do no good for RGV’s dipping career graph and so, Cinejosh goes with 2 stars.

Attack Cinejosh Verdict: Moronic Attack on Audience.

                                                     Attack Cinejosh Rating: 2.0/5.0
