Bachchala Malli (2024) Movie: Story Review

An intelligent person since childhood, Malli aka Bachhala Malli (Allari Naresh) life takes a drastic turn due to some shocking incidents in his life in Suravaram, Tuni.

Allari Naresh's Bachhala Malli: Artists Review

Allari Naresh slipped into the role effortlessly. He not only showed intense expressions and emotions sporting the rugged look. His body language and mannerisms are apt for the role. He showed variations while expressing his love to the beautiful girl. He impressed with his dialogue delivery.

Amritha Aiyer looked good on screen. She with her looks and expressions captivate viewers.

Rao Ramesh elevated the role with his performance. His unique mannerisms and dialogue delivery impressed well.

Rohini did well in the role of his mother. She emoted taking the scenes to another level. Balagam Jayaram is good in the role of father in emotional scenes.

Others like Hari Teja, Sai Kumar, Kota Jayaram,Rohini, Praveen,Viva Harsha,Achyuth Kumar, Harsh Roshan, Ankith Koyya, Prasad Behera performed according to their roles.

Subbu Mangadevi's Bachhala Malli: Technicians Review

Bachchala Malli story penned by Subbu Mangadevi is a rustic story involving different types of emotions. Right from the start till the end, the narration assumes a serious tone.

After the hero's introduction on a serious note with an action sequence, the story goes back to the flashback. Few scenes in the first half though predictable generate interest due to appreciable performances. The first half ends with a twist that can be guessed by everyone.

Even then viewers expects a more interesting second half. However, the second half is loaded with more routine and monotonous elements. The narration turns out to be flat bereft of twists and turns. There are many illogical scenes and the director has taken many liberties to take the narration forward. He dragged a small point to a point of no return.

The screenplay and direction offers nothing new and this in turn ends up testing the patience of the viewers. People heave a sigh of relief when the pre climax and climax come and the film comes to an end.

The music of Vishal Chandrasekhar is melodious. Songs are situational and are shot in a natural and beautiful manner. The background score elevated the intensity in the scenes.

Chota K Prasad's editing is just ok. There are many repetitive scenes and this  slowed the pace of the narration. Richard M Nathan's cinematography is natural and he captured the scenic locations in a realistic way.

Dialogues are simple and relatable. Production values are good.

Bachchala Malli: Advantages

  • Allari Naresh
  • BGM

Bachchala Malli: Disadvantages

  • Predictable Plot
  • Screenplay and Direction

Bachchala Malli Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Bachhala Malli turns out to be predictable rustic entertainer. Allari Naresh came up with impressive performance but Subbu Mangadevi's story, screenplay and direction offered nothing new with routine emotions. A rework on the script before proceeding ahead with the project wouldn't have changed the result much. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Bachhala Malli
