Chakravyuham - The Trap: Story Review

Chakravyuham The Trap story is about a murder mystery and how police investigate and nab the criminals. Satya (Vivek Trivedi) on returning home after attending a party at the office, much to his shock finds his wife Siri aka Sirisha (Urvashi Pardeshi) in a pool of blood. CI Satya aka Satyanarayana (Ajay) along with SI Durga Nayak (Gnaneswari Kandregula) investigates the case and finds out surprising revelations. To find out those surprising revelations and how Satya's friend and business partner Sanjay, accountant Mallik, employee Shilpa (Pragya Nayan), Siri's grandfather (Subhaleka Sudhakar), ex-father Sridhar (Rajeev Kanakala) and stepfather Srinivas (Srikanth Iyengar) are connected to it, one should enter into Chakravyuham-The Trap.

Chakravyuham (The Trap): Artists Review

Ajay made his presence felt in the role of the SI who investigates the murder case. He is apt in his body language and looked perfect as a tough cop. However, he should have shown a few variations in his expressions to take the film to another level. Gnaneswari Kandregula played the role of CI and she is ok in her role. She is good as the cop who reports to her higher-ups.

Vivek Trivedi did well in the role of a person who suffers pain when his wife gets brutally murdered. He showed good emotions and expressions and also intensity in his performance. Urvashi Pardeshi got limited scope to show her talent as the wife who gets murdered brutally. She made her presence felt in the limited screen presence. Pragya Nayan is good in the role of a jealous employee who goes to any extent to attain her goal. She showed good expressions and emotions.

Others like Shubalekha Sudhakar, Rajeev Kanakala, Priya, Srikanth Iyyangar, and Kireeti got limited screen presence and they just passed through the motions.

Chakravyuham (2023) Movie: Technicians Review

Chakravyuham The Trap story selected by Chetkuri Madhusudhan is a murder mystery and he planned to thrill movie lovers and wow them with twists and turns. He starts the narration on the right note and generates interest taking viewers into the story without any delay.

But when one expects the story to reach the next level, the screenplay goes back and forth and while at the start it excites viewers, with the passage of time, one gets a feeling that the director is wasting time, as there is not much to be revealed in the story. The interval twist is decent setting the tone for the second half.

Screenplay and direction tread on a predictable note with nothing much happening. Only during the final few minutes, Madhusudhan once again manages to create interest with a few new revelations. The pre-climax is once again dragged before the predictable end with Ajay's dialogue on Chakravyuham, Mahabharat, Arjun, etc.

The cinematography of GV. Ajay is decent and the music of Bharat Manchiraju is situational. His BGM is ok but could have elevated the scenes in a more impactful way. The editing of Jeswin Prabu is good and could have been better. Dialogues are ok and the production values of Sahasra Creations are decent.

Chakravyuham The Trap: Advantages

  • Coupe of Twists

Chakravyuham The Trap: Disadvantages

  • Repetitive Scenes
  • Predictable Elements

Chakravyuham The Trap Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Chakravyuham The Trap turns out to be a predictable murder mystery. Madhsudhan Chetkuri roped in talented actor Ajay and planned to thrill viewers with Chakravyuham The Trap. Though the intentions are right, the story turned out to be predictable with very few interesting twists. His screenplay and direction are ok. He gave more importance to the emotions rather than on the investigation and this robbed the viewers of the excitement. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2 Rating for Chakravyuham The Trap.
