Chikati Gadilo Chithakkottudu Review, What’s Behind?

CGC is an adult comedy horror film. Teaser and trailer hinted same as if the film will have excess adult content. The unit is also pretty confident of the film attracting one section of audience which may be enough to recover the budget. Let’s see whether CGC will please the targeted section.

Chikati Gadilo Chithakkottudu Story Review:

Chandu (Adith Arun) and Pooja (Nikki Tamboli) are on vacation to Thailand to know, understand each other before marriage. Chandu’s best friend (Hemanth) and his girlfriend (Bhagyashree Mote) also join them on one week trip. While they anticipate pleasure time at a beachside house, they aren't aware of a virgin ghost inside and it wants to have sex with virgin boy. How they tackle with ghost forms crux of the story.

Chikati Gadilo Chithakkottudu Artists, Technicians Review:

CGC is the official remake of 2018 Tamil movie Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuthu. Santhosh P Jayakumar who helmed the original directed the remake version as well. This is a pucca adult film and there are no reservations in either screenplay or treatment. Handfull of adult portions like the Viagra scene and zip lock comedy will entertain. Dialogues added X value to the genre and the usage of contemporary adult phrases will irritate after a time. There is no hidden meaning in the dialogues and director fully utilized the 'A' certificate tag by openly portraying all kinds of vulgar stuff. Female leads have been used for skin show. Bigg Boss spoof comedy for is a little laughter. But horror factor falls flat. Cinematography and music are moderate. Production values are decent.

Onto performances, Adith Arun did a neat job and there are no big complaints with his work. Mirchi Hemanth scores with dialogue modulation. His one-liners and counters worked well at times. Then female leads are used only as glam dolls from start till end. Motta Rajendran brings laughs at places uttering Jai Balayya slogans. Raghu Babu and Thagubothu Ramesh are wasted wherein Posani Krishna Murali and others are just ok.

Chikati Gadilo Chithakkottudu Review, Rating Analysis:

Certainly, director Santhosh P Jayakumar had full clarity on what kind of film he is making and whom he is targeting. Right from the word go to the end, the film is filled with excess obscenity crossing all the boundaries. Initial half an hour and a major part of the second half suffer from screenplay lags with no major high. Being framed as an adult horror comedy, there is not even a single piece to justify the horror tag.

As said earlier, first half an hour is weak and unexciting until the couples land in ghost house. Viagra scene is funny. However, ghost haunting scenes are neither funny nor scary. Towards intermission, ghost reveals how she died and what's her last wish. The latter part begins on a tedious note with the male leads trying to irritate the ghost. Then, the episode of ghost taking the form of a beautiful woman to arouse men was no less than a softcore adult film. Raghu Babu, Thagubothu Ramesh, Motta Rajendran, Posani’s entry look forced, as it only makes screenplay far boring. Then movie ends with possibility of sequel.

All in all, Chikati Gadilo Chithakkottudu is a mediocre attempt. If you are looking for uncompromised adult comedy, this one may satisfy you else you will be harassed. But, this is strictly for adults. CJ goes with 2 star rating and commercial result depends on adoration from bottom bench classes.
