Hello Guru Prema Kosame Review, What’s Behind:

Energetic Star Ram is reeling under flops after a romantic hit Nenu Shailaja. And so is the case with producer Dil Raju who seems to have clearly lost midas touch. Only hope on HGPK is director Trinadha Rao Nakkina, known for engagingly entertaining narrative though his stories are regularly formulaic to fit the commercial grove. At the same time, music album by Devi Sri Prasad did not make much noise. Starring Anupama Parameshwaran, Prakash Raj and Pranitha Subhash in main leads, will success say Hello to Dil Raju’s team?

Hello Guru Prema Kosame Story Review:

Sanju (Ram) is a happy go lucky guy prefers to hang in hometown Kakinada. With insistence from uncle, Sanju goes Hyderabad to join as software trainee residing in his mother’s friend Vishwanatham (Prakash Raj) house. Meanwhile, Sanju begins to flirt his office colleague Reethu (Pranitha Subhash) who too adores him. But, Sanju later realizes that he is madly, deeply in love with Vishwanatham’s daughter Anupama (Anupama Parameswaran). How he convinces father and the daughter forms crux of story.

Hello Guru Prema Kosame Artists, Technicians Review:

After watching Nenu Local or Cinema Choopistha Mava, one finds weak acceptability and null innovative quotient in HGPK. It is still a question to ask ourselves on how come a writer or director or producer can still juice the same pulp that is grind black n blue multiple times before. Though we call it recycling of a proven hit formula, it’s not the same case every time for Dil Raju. Director Trinadha Rao Nakkina’s main forte is comedy. Hello Guru Prema Kosame too has fun elements here and there though story is a routine conflict between to be Mama and to be Alludu. Despite Nakkina made sure of penning entertaining episodes filled with humor, he could not lift the falling graph. He depended mainly on comedy touch while the easily predictable screenplay does damage. It’s a déjà vu feel of watching his previous films with different artists. Prasanna Kumar’s one-liners are a saving grace. Star composer Devi Sri Prasad disappointed with mediocre album though BGM is fine. Vijay C Chakravarthy’s cinematography is good wherein Karthika Sriniavas’s editing is bland. Production values from Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations are just middling.

Onto artists, Ram delivered a settled performance. His comedy timing and honesty to hold with character roots will win more marks. Anupama Paremeswaran is pretty ordinary looks wise and a rehash of Keerthy Suresh in Nenu Local. Prakash Raj is graceful and his scenes with Ram are side-splitting. Pranitha Subhash is just ok in a brief role. Suresh got only single scene. Aamani, Sithara, Jayaprakash and Posani played their roles.

Hello Guru Prema Kosame Review, Rating Analysis:

To begin with, director Trinadha Rao Nakkina and his writer Prasanna Kumar struck to a formulaic story with known conflict. Though succeeded to provide mediocre dose of humor touch, they should realize that comedy alone cannot gratify audience every time. Formula films are safe bet when executed every time in new tone. But, Hello Guru Prema Kosame which has some lighter moments missed its way in execution.

Movie kicks off introducing Ram with a fight sequence. The idea of calling friends on phone is good and implemented in three different scenes. Train episode is just a routine grill, Praveen’s imitation is ridiculous. Ram and Pranitha’s love track has no magical moments. Fun in software office is enjoyable to an extent. First half ends on average note with a predictable interval block.

Second half too begins on pathetically slow note, Ram trying to impress Anupama in presence of Prakash Raj. Conflict never brings laughs instead tests patience most of times. As story proceeds, Prakash Raj’s birthday episode followed by Anupama’s proposal is customary stuff. Movie ends on a happy, predictable note without interesting twists, turns… thanks to terrible screenplay.

On whole, Hello Guru Prema Kosame is a regular film lacking in any interesting elements. Prasanna Kumar’s hilarious writing will give some relief. One can enjoy HGPK  if and only if one hasn’t watched Trinadha Rao’s previous films else it's paining to the core. CJ goes with 2.25 stars and Box Office chances are minutely minimal.
