Ice Cream Review

Behind the Movie Ice Cream: For all those audience who still admire the brand of RGV, here is one more film from this once a creative genius. Starring Tejaswi and Navadeep in leads, let us see how hot is this Cream Ice?

In the Movie Ice Cream: THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A STORY but let me try to brief you. It's a swanky deluxe building of a big shot whose daughter is Renu (Tejaswi). As parents leave out of station, Renu stays alone in the house and obviously she is haunted by some unknown and mysterious evil spirits of dead servant, servant's daughter, grandson and a plumber. Scared by all the dreadful experiences, Renu calls up boy friend Vishal (Navadeep) to give company. However, Renu's illusionary disorder results in killing of Vishal. Now, do not ask us on whether there are any real evil spirits or what the horror movie is all about because RGV has inconclusively left this to a patient practically undergoing psychiatric treatment who he has come across.

Values & Out of the Movie Ice Cream: Genius people like RGV may not need a story, script or dialogue version to go on sets. Give him a beautiful girl and camera crew; he will complete the rest for his producer. Literally, 'Ice Cream' has nothing to offer for audience. Camera zooms here and there throughout the building more than ten to twenty times with Tejaswi, Navadeep running here and there. In between comes old lady and others trying to scare you but falling flat on nose. 'Ice Cream' is a movie just meant to shiver you in fear with no characterizations and no concept. Patrons in theatre are threatened and injured mentally by the divagating photography department and Pradyodhan's music full of eerie sounds. Sanga Pratap Kumar might have nothing to edit because all the scenes look pretty similar and million thanks for curtailing the second half to the maximum despite the jerks are clearly felt. Please, never speak about dialogues because there is nothing like such a department in RGV film. From production point of view, congratulations to Thummalapalli Rama Sathyanarayana for believing in RGV and investing nothing. 

Now, let me write something on performances of artists. Tejaswi is exploited in all the available capricious camera angles exposing her skin to the maximum perversion. As dialogues are written after the completion of shooting, there is no lip sync at all. Navadeep is the lucky man to enjoy Tejaswi as he has nothing to prove here as an artist. Among the rest Saraswathamma as dead servant has a bit scary make up while Sandeepthi, the little boy and plumber was just dumb. 

Now, I should write the same on how RGV's standards are degrading with each film. His past horror movies like 'Raat, Deyyam, Bhoot' etc are far high above in quality compared to 'Ice Cream.' Even for hardcore admirers of RGV, this movie is a sure shot disappointment. Do I need to write on what the commercial verdict is going to be?
