Jawan (2023) Movie: What's Behind 

Shahrukh Khan's much-awaited Jawan hit the screens today worldwide. After an explosive comeback by SRK with Pathaan earlier this year, Jawan is surrounded by massive hype. Except for Shahrukh Khan, the entire team worked from Jawan is from Kollywood. Atlee who is known for crafting commercial potboilers has made his directorial debut in Hindi with Jawan. Nayanthara too makes her debut in Bollywood. After electrifying teasers and trailers, Jawan carries a huge buzz among the audiences. The record bookings indicate the amount of craze the film is carrying. Jawan's digital streaming partner is Netflix. The film was released in theatres worldwide in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages on 7th September. Let's get into the detailed review.

Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan: Story Review

Jawan film starts with a bang introducing Shahrukh Khan as a mysterious man in a remote northeast village. Then it switches to Vikram Rathore / Azad (Shah Rukh Khan), who is a Jailer of a wwomen'sprison and plays the role of a vigilante who always tries to do good to society along with his six-girl gang. He hijacks a metro train holding the passengers as hostages and Kidnaps the health minister. Whatever he does, he puts forth his demands to NSG officer Narmada (Nayanthara). Weapons dealer Khaali Gaikwad (Vijay Sethupatis hi) alsois involved in this hustle. What is the connection between him and Khaali? Who is Vikram Rathore? Who is Azad? How are they related? Forms the story of Jawan.

Shah Rukh's Jawan: Artists Review

Shahrukh Khan is a scream in Jawan. He carried the entire film and is probably the first time he is seen in such a high-voltage massy role. He delivered a stellar performance in both roles and donned several setups in the film. His antics and nuances are brilliantly exhibited in the second half. 

Nayanthara made a grand entry into Bollywood. She looks stunning and carries her role with Elan. She also performed stunts effortlessly. She had a very good role and screen presence in the first half but slowly became routine towards the end.

Vijay Sethupathi is another actor to watch out for in the film. Though he didn't do much in the first half, it was the second half where he left a strong impression. Deepika Padukone has a brief role and created an impact in her role. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and other girls played their parts well.

SRK Jawan: Technicians Review

Director Atlee has made a huge action Hindi film in the South style of elevation and emotions. He brilliantly utilized Shahrukh Khan to connect the audience to the film. He has shown his strength while executing powerful elevation scenes as well as extracting emotion wherever it is necessary. The first half goes with back and forth screenplay technique and generates enough curiosity about the film. But, the main story starts at the Interval block with the powerful reveal. The second half starts with the flashback between Shahrukh and Deepika, this is where the film fumbles as it seems predictable and familiar. But, again the film gets back its groove, and this time Vijay Sethupathi joins the party for a huge showdown during the climax. 

Anirudh though failed to give chart-buster songs, has once again delivered with his pulsating Background Music. His BGM enhanced the experience of watching larger-than-life action sequences. GK Vishnu's cinematography deserves a special mention. Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment banner provided everything to make the film look grand. Producer Guri Khan ensured the VFX and quality were on par with Hollywood action films.

Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan: Rating Analysis:

Altogether, Jawan is a neatly packed Bollywood film with South mass elements. Watching Shahrukh in the role of super commercial hero is a feast and Atlee delivered several whistle-worthy moments with SRK's swag and matchless screen presence at the display. More than us, Bollywood would enjoy this 'Jawan' with more frenzy in theatres. For us, it is a neatly balanced emotional and action entertainer headlined by Shahrukh Khan in a never seen before role. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 3 Rating for Jawan.
