This week is witnessing the clash of many small films and one such film is Laggam Time. The film is directed by Prajoth K Vennam. Let us see how Laggam Time made movie lovers fall in love with it.
Laggam Time story revolves around a youngster and his experiences when he tries to confess his love to his bride-to-be. Chandra (Sudarshan) and Ananya (Navya Chityala) who are on the verge of getting married get a huge shock from Surya (Rajesh Meru). What is that shock, and how it impacts the lives of all form the rest of the developments.
Rajesh Meru did full justice to his role. Navya Chityala impresses with her cute looks and also attracted with her performance. Sudarshan evoked few laughs with his antics.
Preetei Sundar, Praneeth Reddy, Kedar Shanker, Madhumani, Srinivas Bhogireddy, Sujatha, Kiran Macha, Neela Ramana, Arun Kumar, Pooja Singhvi, Prradep, Mirchi Kiran, Erojulo Sai and others performed according to their roles.
Laggam Time story is penned by Prajoth K Vennam. He came up with a story that had routine elements like kidnap during a marriage and love story. However, he tried to narrate it in an interesting and exciting manner. However, most of the scenes in the first half are dragged which slowed the pace of the narration.
However in the second half, he included few twists to generate interest among movie lovers. Few comedy scenes in the second half worked out but many didnot. The love failure and breakup scenes turned out to be extremely routine and the climax generates interest with a twist but it turned out to be a rushed one.
Altogether, Laggam Time turns out to be a decent feel good entertainer. The film got a simple story and there are many routine elements. Except for few laughs, the film offers nothing new. Had the director included few interesting twists and turns, things would have been different. Cosidering all these elements, Cineosh goes with a 1.5 rating to Laggam Time.
