Behind the Movie LIB: Most sensible director of current times, Sekhar Kammula is back. This most awaited movie has hit the screens today, so let us see how beautiful is this?

In the Movie LIB: Following the instructions of his mother (Aamla), Engineering guy Srinu (Abhijeet) shifts to his maternal grandpa’s house in Hyderabad along with his two sisters Sathya (Rashmi) and Chinni. In Hyderabad, they live in middle class standard B phase of Sunshine Residential Colony adjacent to which lies the Golden phase where wealth reside. Here Srinu finds best friends Nagraj (Sudhakar) and Abhi (Kaushik). In the same colony lives Srinu’s Maradalu Paddu (Shagun) and they get instantly in love which isn’t shared till second half.

Story goes on to next level when rivalry between B & Golden Phases takes the personal route. While Abhi impresses the Golden Phase girl Paru (Shriya), who is an aspirant for Miss India, Nagraj too falls in love with neighbor Lakshmi (Zara). All the way, there is glamorous aunty Maya (Anjala Zaveri), the crush for everyone in Sunshine.

When the time comes for conflict in each of these love stories, how did they learn lessons in life, the good the bad, being happy being sad…finally how did each of them succeed forms the happy ending.

Values of the Movie Life is Beautiful: The major strength of the film is wonderful scripting, extra ordinary direction, superb performances and overall a smooth narration. All the credits should go to Sekhar Kammula for bringing such feel good sensibility into the film. All the way, his characters behave so natural and we find it connecting next door. Vijay C Kumar’s cinematography is flawless to elevate the theme. Editing should have been little crisper while the soulful music of Mickey J Meyer leaves a long time impact. Same applies to penning of dialogues which generate a spark to each of the characterizations. Finally, production values are also of high standard.

Performance wise, movie although runs from Abhijeet’s narration point of view, Sudhakar was instant and catchy. His peculiar Hyderabad accent will be a super hit. Lean man Kaushik is lucky to share hot romance with Shriya. While Amala Akkineni has offered a heart touching show, Anaja Zaveri was red hot and same applies to Shriya, who should be appreciated for accepting this kind of a role. Shagun is cute and can be a heroine to watch out in future. Zara has a wild sex appeal and she might grab the eye balls of mass film makers. Of the remaining CVL Narasimha Rao, Rashmi, Surekha Vani and others tend to have acted naturally.

Out of the Movie Life Is Beautiful: What makes Sekhar Kammula, a different film maker from others is his judging the depth of emotions. He also has an immaculate talent of writing those kinds of characters which have easy identity among us. While there are definite loopholes in second half content part, Sekhar covers them us with an emotional climax leaving the audience to go out with complete feel good factor.

Major portion of the first half runs on the lines of ‘Happy Days’ and all the six lead young characters are cloned from Sekhar’s last super hit flick but each of them will get some variations only in second half. Definitely few lengthy scenes, boring stereotypic episodes of second half will do the damage to overall output yet ‘Life Is Beautiful’ is a beautiful experience. Romantic track between Abhijeet and Shagun lost the track to end up on a regular note. The pleasant song on ‘Amma’ and climax portion seemed to be a direct lift from the lyrics of ‘Taare Zameen Par.’

Finally, first half is a revisit of ‘Happy Days’ with change of backdrop from College to Colony and Second half essays the emotional saga to bring those Happy moments back in the life. Definitely, movie will work out big time commercially irrespective of the nature of audience…whether it’s Urban or A or B centers because ‘Feel Good’ generated the same feel everywhere.

Cinejosh Verdict of the Movie Life is Beautiful: Enjoy This ‘Happy Days 2.’
