Mansunu Maya Seyake Review

Behind the Movie MMS: Except Prince and Richa Pani, there is no one who can identify in the film. Even then, director Suresh P Kumar and producers attempted this as a bi-lingual and thus we see a Telugu release. Let us see, how touching is this?

In the Movie MMS: Story begins with introduction to busy Construction business man Jai (Sethu) and his house wife Mythili (Richa Panai). Jai is an alcoholic who spends lot of time in pubs and bars with friends. Towards other side of story there is an orphan Shiva (Prince), a photographer who falls in love at first sight with beautiful girl Lasya (Disha Pandey), working as a civil architect. As Shiva joins as a colleague to Lasya in the same company, friendship develops between the two. A sudden shock comes in the form of an interesting MMS where in Jai and Lasya are seen moving intimately. Both Jai and Lasya are blackmailed by a stalker. Story takes a violent turn with Lasya thrown from top of a building and her health turns critical. To save the girl, Shiva plays a clever game by using Jai in killing all the men behind the MMS. Who are they and how is Lasya connected to Jai is the rest.

Values & Out of the Movie MMS: A dead and deeply coma screenplay tests the patience of audience throughout. Right from scene 1 to end titles, everything runs only with immense lag. May be director Suresh thought this kind of approach as his artistic touch, however, this is upright torture. Neither do we have any performing artists nor any technical brilliance, so how did Suresh thought of making a film on these grounds? Except Disha Pandey’s cute looks here and there, relatively high experienced Prince, skeleton bodied Richa or silly acting of Jai completely failed to entice the viewers. Songs come and go further tormenting our senses. Senior actor like Manobala is also wasted.

On technical front, Venkat Hanuma’s camera work was good in canning of songs while MR Varma’s editing is a lethargic. Story does not move any where until the interval block and second half, which needed a lightening screenplay is weaved in dimness. Do not ask about cinematic liberties of Suresh P Kumar who seems to have no common sense. The way Shiva hypnotizes Jai on phone is like jogging in hell. Their performances are catastrophic. Music by Manikanth Kadri is also just average. Dialogues are a trash and do not have any lip sync. Hopefully, it’s not a bi-lingual. First they directed Tamil version and then dubbed into Telugu. Coming to comedy, there isn’t a trace. 

If you read just the story part in this review, definitely there is a thriller flavor. If Suresh would have handled the movie to some sort of perfection, then it was bearable. His inexperience and deplorable output from artists cum technicians resulted in a complete dud. Do I need to mention in special about BO result?
