Behind the Movie Nene Ambani: Aryan, the handsome Hero of Kollywood has no craze in Tollywood and it is alone the glamorous Nayanathara which is major pulling factor for this movie. The original Tamil version of this movie ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’ was a decent hit that offered break to director M. Rajesh. Let us see, how did this Ambani fare in dubbed Telugu version?

In the Movie Nene Ambani: Bhaskar called fondly as Boss (Aryan) is a happy living guy who never cares about future. Struggling to clear Graduation by writing the supplementary exams, Boss lives with his brother Shankaram (Subbu), veterinary doctor; sister Nithya and a widow mother. Boss falls in love with Chandrika (Nayanathara), a lecturer and wishes to marry her. During the same time, Shankaram’s marriage is fixed with Nandini (Vijayalakshmi) and Chandrika is none other than her sister.

Boss approaches Nandini, opens his intentions of marrying Chandrika but the careless attitude, unemployed status poses him hurdles to win his love. Boss leaves the family throwing a challenge that he will become Ambani in next 6 months and then marry Chandrika. Boss takes the help of his childhood friend Power Tiger (Santhanam) to open a Tenth Class Tutorial and makes good profits convincing Chandrika for marriage. Yet, Chandrika’s father becomes a problem opposing the marriage. Who solved this problem for Boss? Did Boss win Chandrika? form the climax.

Values and Out of the Movie Nene Ambani: Movie has a simple and straight storyline with no twists and turns. Script work by Rajesh might have worked for Tamil version but when it comes to Telugu, no where did the movie really pickup and looked interesting. Except one or two episodes like usage of a blind graduate to work as teacher in the tutorial to set right the students, love episodes with Nayanathara were worth mentioning else there is nothing exceptional. Comedy by Santhanam failed to generate laughs. Naming his hair cut saloon as ‘Power Tiger’ (Power Star Pawan Kalyan + Young Tiger Junior NTR) is a crude joke shown with images of Tamil heroes Vijay and Ajith. Dialogues by Shashank Vennelakanti were very poor and tasteless. Cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan was brilliant in songs. Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja was good in two songs while there was no background score in total movie. Production values of Vasan Visuals were good.

Performance wise Aryan was stylish and at ease delivering the careless comedy lines. Nayanathara looked awesome clad in beautiful Salwar Kameez and Saris. After a long time, we feel of loving Nayan. Cameos of Jeeva and Shakeela were unimpressive. Santhanam comedy could have been better, if little cautious effort was put by the team. Of the remaining Vijayalakshmi is buxom beauty and other artists are no where concerned with our Telugu audience.

Nene Ambani is entirely a director’s show with Aryan and Nayanthara just supporting him. There is always a necessity that strong Tamil flavored scenes in a dubbing movie should either be re-shot or should be edited using technology. Producers of this movie have made no such attempts to fill a bit of Telugu nativity. They seem to have no hopes on this Telugu dubbing version and rightly that could have been abuse of money on this sick product. Except the darshan of Nayanathara, two good songs from Yuvan, cool looks of Aryan; everything else in this movie makes no sense for our audience.  So, better give a skip.

Cinejosh Verdict of the Movie Nene Ambani: Strictly not for Telugu audience.
