O Saathiya Movie: Story Review

O Saathiya's story is about two youngsters falling in love and what problems they faced and whether they overcame or succumbed to them. Arjun (Arya Gowra) leads a carefree life along with his parents (Devi Prasad, Kalpalatha) though having backlogs in engineering in Visakhapatnam.

However, his life changes the moment he happens to see a beautiful girl Keerthi (Mishti Chakraborty) who suddenly disappears even before he could express his love. To find out why she disappeared and how Keerthi's mother (Pramodini), Arjun's friend Karthik and Sauresh (Krazy Karthik), Chaitanya (Garikapati) are connected to it, from the crux of the story.

O Saathiya Movie: Artists Review

Arya Gowra performed the role of a lover boy in a natural and realistic manner. He looked enthusiastic and exuberant as a carefree youngster who enjoys his life to the core. He showed variations while experiencing love and elevated the scenes with his emotions when in love and then unable to express due to various circumstances and treating his lover as his friend and finally feeling for her and helping her all the time whenever she needed. His body language, screen presence, and dialogue made a perfect impact touching the hearts of all.

Mishti Chakraborty played the role of a young girl who is overjoyed when she fell in love and couldn't overcome her feelings when her surroundings force her to act against the interest of her love making her opt for a noble sacrifice. She looked bubbly and youthful on screen and the chemistry between Arya and Mishti is good to watch on screen.

Devi Prasad played the role of Arya's father who always supports his son ensuring that he does not take the wrong decision. Pramodini as the heroine's mother showed her feelings and insecurity due to circumstances making her take decisions as she is worried about her daughter. Krazy Krishna and Chaitanya Garikapati performed well in the roles of the hero's friends.

O Saathiya Movie: Technical Review

O Saathiya's story penned by Divya Bhavana is all about two youngsters in love and the experiences they faced during their journey and how they faced the problems and dealt with them. Divya Bhavana's story is predictable and she cannot be found at fault as all the love stories have the same template like the blossoming of love, flourishing in love, breakup in love, and then re union in love resulting in a happy ending. All boils down to how the emotions are elevated in this journey.

Divya Bhavana included intense emotions and blended them beautifully in various scenes. All those gave a rich and new feel to the viewers and Genex youth. Divya Bhavana's screenplay is good and the direction for most of the part is intact. The scenes at times look forced and predictable but Divya made up for it with her dialogues, scenes, and screenplay. She emerged successful in taking love to new heights in her story. Finally, after a couple of predictable narrations, the story ends on a happy note.

Venu with his cinematography is beautified the film. He added colors to the romantic entertainer and gave an aesthetic feel to the viewers. Vinnu's music is melodious and youthful. The songs tuned by Vinnu are beautifully shot and a couple of them highlighted the dancing talent of the hero.

The romantic songs are beautified by the lovely chemistry between Arya and Mishti. His background score turned out to be the backbone of the romantic love story. Background music elevated the scenes and created a maximum impact. The editing of Carthic should have been crispier as there are many scenes that slowed the pace of the film. Production values of Thanvika Jashwika Creations are good.

O Saathiya Movie: Advantages

  • Songs, BGM
  • Dialogues
  • Cinematography

O Saathiya Movie: Disadvantages

O Saathiya Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, O Saathiya is a touching romantic entertainer. Divya Bhavana selected a love story and connected chords with youngsters and people in love. He got good emotions from the lead pair and with the able support cast he turned the film into a decent one. Divya Bhavana's screenplay is good but the predictable plot acted as a hindrance. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2.5 rating for O Saathiya.
