Behind the Movie Ongole Gitta: Director Bhaskar is known for class family touch has touched the mass element with energetic hero Ram in lead. Kriti Kharbhanda is to look after the glam quotient with Prakashraj as antagonist. Let us see, how far Bhaskar succeeded in utilising the energy of Ram?

In the Movie Ongole Gitta: Young boy White enters into Ongole Mirchi Yard on a mission. Mirchi Yard Chairman Aadikeshavulu (Prakashraj) is a responsible man who is respected by the business community. As time goes on White grows into eneregtic youngster (Ram) with his eye set on acquiring the Chairman post. In the process, local MLA (Ahuti Prasad) strikes a deal with Aadikeshavulu to shift the Yard to outskirts of the town for their personal benefit of Rs.100 Crores. Meanwhile, White gets enegaged to Aadikeshavulu's daughter Sandhya (Kriti) against the wish of Aadikeshavulu.

There is a hidden cruel face of Aadikeshavulu which no one knows. How is White connected to Aadikeshavulu? What is the flashback where in White's father Narayana aka Bangarraju (Prabhu), the Mirchi Yard Chairman was backstabbed by Aadikeshavulu, his brother Manga Babu (Abhimanyu Singh) and Durga (Ajay)? How White has taken the revenge on Aadikeshavulu exposing his other side? All these form the rest.

Values of the Movie Ongole Gitta: Though basic plot is pretty simple with no twists and turns, characterizations of Ram, Prakashraj and the backdrop of Mirchi yard make this film appear in new flavor. Screenplay weaved for face to face espiodes between Ram and Prakashraj was a little innovative. Dialogues could have been far better while Direction goes on a straight line graph with invisible peaks. Narration could have been still more better in second half and a weak climax is far more disappointing. Lighting schema used by cinematograopher Marthand was bright and apt to this kind of treatment. Kathir's editing was bad with many scenes extended more than the required length. Music by GV Prakash and Mani Sharma was a regular score with no worth rememberable numbers. Production values of SVCC and Bapineedu are appreciable.

Performance wise along with a dashing Ram, it is Prakashraj who steals the show. No doubts, Ram stands upto his title of Eneregtic Star with maturity shown in dialogues, dances and action scenes. His chemistry with Kriti was a bit artificial. Among all the commercial concepted flicks with monotonous villainy, surely Prakashraj will cherish for a long time with 'Ongole Gitta.' We see this talented actor in full flow delivering a dominating performance. Mannerisms, face expressions and modulation in dialogue delivery...everything about Prakashraj is so special here. Kriti Kharbhanda has the oomph but ageing features seem to be visible on her face. She was hyper-eneregetic with illogical and lifeless characterization. Prabhu was as usual decent while Abhimanyu Singh, Ahuthi Prasad, Ajay stuck to their parts. Comedy between Ram, Kishore Das was weak. Ali was used in a filthy scene. Raghu Babu and Co as villagers of 'Thikk Vaari Palle' were hilarious.

Out of the Movie Ongole Gitta: Director Bhaskar's first trial with a mass flavored storyline is just half successful. There are few good espidoes here and there while major blunders in narration with gap filling scenes of second half show his hollowness in dealing this kind of scripts. An experienced Kona Venkat should have tightened plenty of loose ends. As far as Prakashraj and Ram's roles are considered, 'Ongole Gitta' is more than a satisfactory product. When analysed in overall, the product falls short of treatment.

Obviously, Bhaskar cannot try anything new in this genre and he took enough of creative freedom with Prakashraj to fulfill the thirst. There is an underlying revenge point which travels throughout and once it is revealed just before interval, the onus was on director to keep the audience still excited. Few more funny elements like 'Thikka Vaari Palle' and a little more gripping scenes in the revenge process could have made the result far better.

Overall, 'Ongle Gitta' is a eneregtic mass entertainer with key commercial ingredients mixed in low doses. BO result will depend upon how B & C center audience respond.

Cinejosh Verdict of the Movie Ongole Gitta: Watch it for Prakashraj & Ram.
