Psych Siddhartha (2025) Movie: Story Review

Psych Siddhartha story revolves around a youngster numerous reverses  in his life and where his life heads to when he falls in love with a beautiful girl.

Siddharth (Shree Nandu) life turns upside down when his business partner Mansoor (Sukesh) and his lover Trisha cheats him. Under these circumstances, he comes across Shravya (Yamini Bhaskar). Where this leads to and what role Revanth( Simha) plays form rest of the narration.

Shree Nandu is ok in his role. While in the first half his role looked silly and outdated, in the second half he came up with a decent performance. He is good with his expressions and emotions. 

Yamini Bhaskar looked. Good on screen and she is impressive with her expressions and emotions. She showed the pain and trauma she undergoes in a realistic way. 

Simha's role as a friend is used only for adult scenes and dialogues. Sukesh is ok in the role of the boss, and others performed accordingly.

Psych Siddhartha story is penned by Varun Reddy. Varun Reddy came with a story to appeal to youthful and genex viewers. The dialogues are loaded with adult and obscene elements, and this had a negative impact on the overall output. Most of the time, the charcters and their dialogues turned out to be loud.

The entire first half turned out to be atrocious to the core before it ended, bringing in a huge relief to the viewers. The second half turns a little better with a few realistic elements and emotional scenes involving the lead pair. Finally, the film ends in a predictable way. 

The story turned out to be weak, and the screenplay and direction left a lot to be desired. It seems the director tried to draw inspiration from films like Arjun Reddy and other films, but failed to come up with a strong story. To the top of it, he failed to come up with strong characterization of the roles.

Prateek Nuti's editing left a lot to be desired. There are many unwanted, unnecessary scenes that are left unattended which impacted the overall output. The Cinematography of K Prakash Reddy is in sync with the story line. He showed the scenes in a realistic way using the camera angles. The music of Smaran Sai is ok and background score is average. Production values are ok.

Altogether, Psych Siddhartha turns out to be a . Varun Reddy tried to come up with the GenX entertainer. However, right from the first scene till the last scene, he ended up giving intense torture to the movie lovers. The story turned out to be ridiculous to the core, and there is nothing to talk about the screenplay and direction. There is nothing wrong in drawing inspiration from films like Arjun Reddy. But without strong story and powerful characters and racy screenplay, succeess will not fall in their laps. Wonder how the makers proceeded with the project. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with 1.5 rating to Psych Sidhartha.
