Raam Kiran, Megha Akash's Sahkakutumbaanaam is releasing on 1 January 2026. The presence of Rajendra Prasad is generating interest. The film is directed by Uday Sharma. Sahkakutumbaanaam OTT rights are yet to be inked and the details will be revealed at a later time. Let us see how Sahkakutumbaanaam impressed movie lovers.
Sahkakutumbaanaam story revolves around an orphan girl and the developments in her life , when she falls on love with her team lead and where this leads to.
New Joinee Siri (Mega Akash) gets fascinated with her team lead Kalyan (Raam Kiran). Finally they enter into wedlock after getting consent from his parents.
However, after that Siri finds out shocking details about his family What are those shocking details and what role his boss Lavangam (Brahmanandam), his father Prasad Rao(Rajendra Prasad), mother Tulasi (Rajshri Nair), Dr Venu(Subhalekha Sudhakar), Ling (Satya), Half Note (Racha Ravi), Share Market (Thagubotu Ramesh) form rest of the narration.
Raam Kiran is ok with his performance. On his debut, he tried to make an impression with his dialogue delivery and expressions. He should improve his skills to reach the next level. He danced well in the songs and is ok in the action sequences.
Megha Akash is fine with her role. She didn't get much scope to show her acting talent. She is impressive in her role.
Brahmanandam appeared on screen on few scenes. Rajendra Prasad is ok with his performance. Others like Shubhaleka Sudhakar, Satya, Ramesh Bhuvanagiri,Rajasri Nair, Giridhar, Badhram, Racha Ravi,Thagubothu Ramesh and Nithya Sri perfomed according to their roles.
Sahkakutumbaanaam story is penned by director Uday Sharma. Uday Sharma planned to entertain viewers with the romantic story in the backfrop of the family elements. He tried to highlight the value of family. The entire first half, however he passes time with silly scenes and outdated narration. The romantic track turns out to be artificial and mediocre.
The office scenes also didnot excite anyone. Heroine's role is not eked out properly much to the disappointment of all. The first half ends with a interesting so called twist setting the stage for the second half. When one expects the interesting second half, everything falls down drastically with testing scenes and screenplay. Songs appear from nowhere and scenes attack the wits of the viewers. Finally when the film ends, viewers heave a sigh of relief.
Sashank Mali , Shiva Sharvani's editing left a lot to be desired. There are many unwanted and unnecessary scenes that impacted the flow of the narration and the final output. Madhu Dasari's cinematography is good as per the storyline. He showed the scenes in a colorful and appealing manner. Only after seeing the credits, one get to know that the music has been tuned by Mani Sharma.
The songs gives an old and retro feeling and couple of songs are melodious. The songs are shot and choreographed well. However, the placement of the songs slowed the pace of te narration. Dialogues are pretty ordinary and didnot make any impact. The film lacked basic emotions and one gets a feeling that the actors are just passing through the motions. Production values are decent.
Altogether, Sahkakutumbaanaam turns out to be silly romantic family drama. Director Uday Sharma tried to highlight the family values in the backdrop of a romantic entertainer. Though the idea is good, he failed to show in an interesting and gripping manner on the screen. Mega Akash is underutilised while Raam Kiran's role is not elevated in a exciting way. To the top of it, the entire first half is spent on establishing the characters of the lead pair and they didnot look convincing. Things happen as per convenience and the interval bang sets the stage for the second half.
When one expects a better second half, it follows the same pattern with songs acting as speedbrakers and the hero's flash back dragging the narration with the introduction of few more characters. The so called comedy featuring various actors didnot evoke any laughs. While the story looked outdated, the screenplay turned out to be lethargic and the direction didnot inspire at all. Had the script been finetuned and the screenplay turned out to be racy, things would have been different. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for Sahakutumbaanaam.
