Tiger 3 (2023) Movie: What's Behind

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's highly anticipated film, Tiger 3, has captured the imagination of fans and cinephiles alike ever since its inception. The movie marks a significant addition to the YRF spy universe, building on the success of Salman Khan's previous hits, "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Tiger Zinda Hai."

What has piqued the excitement of fans even further is the inclusion of the iconic Shah Rukh Khan in a powerful cameo role. The teaser and trailer of the film have already garnered an enthusiastic response from the audience. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, "Tiger 3" is set to hit the big screens on December 12, 2023.Now, let's delve into how Salman Khan has electrified the world of cinema with "Tiger 3.

Salman Khan's Tiger 3: Story Review

In the heart of Tiger 3 lies the narrative of an Indian spy, Avinash Singh Ratore, known as Tiger (Salman Khan), as he navigates the complexities of protecting his nation from its adversaries. His seemingly idyllic life alongside his wife, Zoya (Katrina Kaif), and their son is abruptly disrupted when a mission to rescue a fellow spy from the Taliban unveils a staggering secret about Zoya.

This revelation sets off a chain of events that leads to a gripping saga involving former Pakistan deputy ISI chief Aatish Rahman (Emraan Hashmi), the distinguished Indian RAW chief Maithili Menon (Revathi), Pakistan's PM Nasreen Irani (Simran), and the enigmatic Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan), Major Kabir Dhailwal (Hrithik Roshan), interweaving a web of intrigue, suspense and unexpected turns. The connections and interplay among these characters form the fabric of the story, shaping a tale that's rife with gripping twists and turns.

Tiger 3 Movie: Artists Review

Salman Khan seamlessly slipped back into his role as Tiger, displaying a range of emotions and expressions fitting for the various situations. While he effortlessly executed high-octane stunts, the character didn't necessarily offer ample opportunities to showcase his signature style and charisma, despite his daring feats. The dialogues penned for his character seemed rather average and didn't quite highlight his usual heroic flair.

Katrina Kaif, on the other hand, delivered a stellar performance, with increased and more intense action sequences that showcased her dedication, notably in the much-discussed towel fight scene. Despite her commendable performance, some viewers noted that she appeared a bit older on screen.

Shah Rukh Khan's extended cameo injected a fresh energy into the film, elevating the scenes and injecting excitement into the otherwise familiar narrative. The interaction between Shah Rukh and Salman brought an entertaining dynamic that captivated audiences.

Emraan Hashmi, in a role fraught with predictable and monotonous elements, managed to add a different dimension by altering his appearance. However, beyond this transformation, his performance might have felt somewhat ordinary.

The fleeting appearance of Hrithik Roshan towards the conclusion stirred up considerable excitement among fans. Other actors such as Simran, Revathi, and Ashutosh Rana played their respective roles according to the demands of the script.

Tiger 3 (2023) Film: Technicians Review

Tiger 3 had its story crafted by Aditya Chopra, with the screenplay penned by Shridhar Raghavan and dialogues by Ankur Chaudhry. Despite the commendable lineup, the story unfolded predictably, and the screenplay, attributed to Raghavan, lacked the vibrant, engaging touch, appearing somewhat uninspired. Chaudhry's dialogues, while decent, didn't quite transcend the ordinary.

Under the direction of Maneesh Sharma, known for films like "Band Baaja Baaraat" and "Fan," the film started sluggishly but gained momentum with the introduction of Salman Khan, which thrilled audiences. However, the anticipated acceleration in the screenplay's pace and narrative depth didn't quite materialize, leaving much of the first half feeling average until the interval.

Though laden with action, the film failed to truly captivate. Even the much-promoted towel fight scene between Katrina and Michelle Lee lacked the anticipated impact due to a lack of emotional connection, despite the efforts of the cast and crew.

Expectations for a stronger second half were somewhat met with Shah Rukh Khan's engaging extended cameo, receiving applause for its execution and Khan's witty dialogues. However, the narrative soon slipped back into a routine trajectory, lacking the expected twists and turns. The late appearance of Hrithik Roshan in the closing moments left many disappointed, feeling reminiscent of various other spy thrillers and Hollywood action flicks like Mission Impossible and The Matrix.

Pritam's music received mixed reviews, with only a few tracks, notably the "Ruan" song, resonating with audiences. Tanuj Tiku's background score, while adequate, didn't elevate the scenes as expected, feeling somewhat routine. Anay Om Goswamy's cinematography, while not extravagant, competently captured the scenes, albeit lacking in certain areas. Rameshwar. S's editing could have been tighter to maintain the film's pacing, as several scenes slowed down the overall tempo. However, the production values stood out for their grandeur and quality.

Tiger 3: Advantages

  • Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif
  • Shah Rukh's cameo

Tiger 3: Disadvantages

  • Lack of Emotional Connect
  • Over The Top Scenes
  • Screenplay
  • No real Twists and Turns

Tiger 3 Movie: Rating Analysis

Tiger 3 falls short of the expectations for a compelling spy thriller. Maneesh Sharma's direction, despite featuring numerous high-octane sequences with Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and the rest of the cast, ultimately disappoints due to a weak script, mundane screenplay, and a storyline that lacks innovation.

The film's downfall lies in its routine and monotonous narrative, compounded by ordinary dialogues and a lack of emotional depth. The absence of anticipated plot twists and turns further detracts from its potential. Considering these critical elements, Cinejosh Rates 2.25 out of 5 for Tiger 3.
